National Cheese Doodle Day

"Food that consumers used to think of as junk food is being reinvented as health food." - Nathan Coyle

It's National Cheese Doodle Day!

When I think of "cheese doodles" I think of this commercial. Basically: artificially colored neon orange cheese dust that covers your hands, that then cover every single surface you touch thereafter - your pants, your light switch, your pet rabbit, you name it.

And it grosses me out.

I had no idea that there were companies that had taken the "cheese doodle" and had reinvented it into something both tasty and relatively healthy. But in my quest to avoid said neon orange dust (because, seriously, I can't imagine what that crap does to your insides), I found an all-natural alternative that uses no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives, and is made from natural stone ground yellow corn and real aged blue and cheddar cheeses.

. . . and, as much as I don't want to admit it, they're delicious. I've eaten more doodles today than I have in my entire life.

Although psychologically I can't get over the fact that when I pull my hand out of the bag there isn't neon orange dust all over it!

Happy National Cheese Doodle Day!
