World Water Day

"All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was." - Toni Morrison

It's World Water Day!

Water. It's in us. It's around us. It's always been. And always will be . . .

. . . or will it?

We are facing a global water crisis that goes unrecognized by most first-world inhabitants - the very ones who are both using and contaminating most of the world's water supply. World Water Day is held every March 22 and is recognized by the United Nations. According to Water.org, it "reminds us that much of the world still faces a global water, sanitation and hygiene crisis, and that it is our urgent obligation to act."

According to Water.org....
- Every 21 seconds a child dies from a water-related illness.
- More people have mobile phones than toilets.
- Women spend 200 million hours a day collecting water.

There's so much you can do to show your support today on World Water Day, with so little effort required. Don't have a buck to donate to Water.org, right now? You can donate "your voice" and allow Water.org to Tweet or post on Facebook messages that shows you support solutions to the world water crisis.

I did.
