National Peach Ice Cream Day

“Training is everything. The peach was once a bitter almond; cauliflower is nothing but cabbage with a college education.” - Mark Twain

It's National Peach Ice Cream Day!

I know there are a couple other people out there in this gluttonous great nation of ours who've attempted to eat every national food holiday... not many, but they exist (they're as rare as unicorns, friends). My question to them is this: wherever you were located while dabbling in your own similar culinary adventure, was there one food that seemed particularly difficult to deal with?

Yes? No? Well, since I'm in the thick of things here eating the year and what not, I gotta gripe about a food...

Mutha uckin' peaches.

I'm exhausted of you, fuzzy fruit! Seriously, do you need so many holidays? First peach melba day, then peaches and cream day, now peach ice cream day, and I still have "eat a peach" day and peach pie day to deal with look forward to...

...an entire aisle at my local grocery dedicated to ice cream and there was only one kind of peach ice cream (which, to be fair, is one more than I thought actually existed).

Happy National Peach Ice Cream Day!
