National Greasy Foods Day

“Greasy food might not be good for your body, but it does wonders for the soul. A healthy diet may prolong your life, but what would you have to live for? What is the point of living to a hundred if you have to subsist on bland food? One may as well die of boredom.” - Jessica Zafra

It's National Greasy Foods Day!

Acne. Diarrhea. Acid reflux. Obesity. Diabetes. Gallstones. Sleep apnea. Asthma.

Those are just some of the awesome benefits from a diet heavy in greasy foods.

But just for today, let's forget about all that. Because it's National Greasy Foods Day - an unofficial holiday devoted entirely to that glistening sinful side of the culinary world we all secretly love. What do you crave? Crispy onion rings? A bag of potato chips? Movie theater popcorn drowning in butter? A doughnut filled with cream and covered with chocolate? Maybe a slice of pizza you need to dab your napkin on to sop up all the extra grease? Or what about deep fried candy bars, ravioli, fritters, Coke, or anything else you can imagine?

I won't judge if you won't.

Don't fool yourself: even with a plant-based diet you can still celebrate today without compromising your ethical or green beliefs. It won't be the healthiest thing you've ever eaten, but it'll still be substantially better than what other people are going to do to their bodies today.

My hips are just waiting to be widened, so let's do this!

Happy National Greasy Foods Day!
