National Whiskey Sour Day

It's National Whiskey Sour Day!

Don't worry, you aren't as think as you drunk you are. But you may be seeing two of everything: if it seems like we just celebrated National Whiskey Sour Day four days ago... we did. There's some disagreement among foodies as to whether the drinkydrink holiday falls on the 25th or the 29th. My thoughts, when it comes to date conflicts like this, are always the same: why not celebrate on BOTH occasions (especially when we're talking about whiskey)?

Fun fact? The first recipe for a whiskey sour appeared in the 1862 book "How to Mix Drinks or The Bon Vivant's Companion: The Original Cocktail Guide" by Jerry Thomas.

Funner fact? They are a seriously easy-to-make cocktail. If you're feeling uber lazy (and you might be if you haven't recovered from the drinking we just did a few days ago), just combine whiskey with some sour mix.
