Four Prunes Day

It's Four Prunes Day!

While four might seem like an entirely arbitrary number, it actually isn't. Many dietitians recommend eating four or five prunes a day to promote... ahem... regularity (y'know, of the BM, kind). Prunes - which are just dried plums - are also full of antioxidants, good for your heart, help lower cholesterol, and prevent osteoporosis, too.

Are they a glamorous fruit? No. Useful and healthy? ABSOLUTELY.

So, will you celebrate today by eating four prunes? What about eating prunes four different ways (like in juice or smoothies, in cereal, in muffins, or in a salad)?

However you choose to eat them, enjoy!

And just make sure a bathroom is nearby.
