National Good and Plenty Day

It's National Good and Plenty Day!

Did you know Good and Plenty's are one of - if not the - the oldest brands of candy there is in the U.S.? It was originally created by the Quaker City Confectionery Company in 1893 in Philadelphia. Over a century later, Hershey's purchased the company which is still thriving today.

Unfortunately for me, licorice is one of my least favorite flavors there is. To me, there's nothing good about these candies, which are too plentiful if you ask me. But, I haven't let a food holiday trip me up yet, so I'm taking one for the team and popping these pill-shaped white and pink candies.
