National Bundt Cake Day

“My policy on cake is pro having it and pro eating it.” - Boris Johnson

It's National Bundt Cake Day!

The term "bundt" was trademarked by the Nordic Ware company of Minnesota who began producing the pans from aluminum in the 1950's. To celebrate it's 60th anniversary, in 2006 Nordic Ware declared November 15th as National Bundt Cake Day.

Because of their portability and density, Bundts make awesome dessert options for picnics, potlucks, BBQ's, etc. There's also no standard recipe for Bundt cakes; they get their name, really, from their shape and pan that was used to bake them. So, if you wanna make a sweet potato and maple Bundt cake... go for it. A double chocolate fudge one? Sure! Raspberry and almond? Also doable! A monkey bread style one? You betcha!

Sharing's optional, right?

Happy National Bundt Cake Day!
